Traveling is my favorite. I think there is no better way to spend money than to see and experience the world God has made.

One of my goals is going to all 59 of the National Parks. I’ve been to 25 currently, and some of my favorite include Dry Tortugas, Glacier, YellowstoneArchesZion and Big Bend. The other ones I’ve been to, in order, are Grand Canyon, Everglades, Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Teton, Biscayne, Glacier Bay, Olympic, Mount Rainier, North Cascades, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, Hot Springs, Sequoia, Yosemite, Great Sand Dunes, Mammoth Caves, Carlsbad Caverns, and Guadalupe Mountains. You can see my Instagrams from the National Parks at #KatyattheNationalParks.

Other favorite stateside destinations for me include Disney World (#DisneywiththeFlinns) and New York City.

I grew up hearing about other countries as I lived next door to missionaries that traveled all over the world. In eighth and ninth grade I went to Monterrey, Mexico on mission trips and in tenth and eleventh grades I went to Kenya. Both were incredible, life changing experiences, and in college that I strengthened my love of experiencing the world.

I studied abroad in Costa Rica January of sophomore year and with the free evenings and weekends I caught wanderlust. I never wanted to stop traveling. I studied abroad in London January of senior year followed by a week-long trip to Athens and Santorini Greece. And for Spring Break of that year I went to Iceland. Summer 2016 consisted of a three-month job in Europe that allowed me to travel to 18 countries.

I don’t want to just see the world. I want to experience the world. I want to learn the rich histories and cultures of it. I want to meet other travelers and hear their stories. I want to take pictures and share them and inspire you to do the same.
